InventoryNord presents comprehensive website relaunch

posted 12.09.2022

Online auctions are a versatile and attractive trading place for sellers and buyers. To ensure that the format develops its full potential, InventoryNord is relaunching its platform with comprehensive optimization in terms of usability.

Last year, there were around 14,000 corporate insolvencies in Germany

Even if this figure always conceals individual fates, the insolvency procedure is a sober, business process. Above all, its goal is to find the best possible solution for all parties involved under the given circumstances. The monetization of the insolvency estate is of central importance in this respect. This includes, above all, the sale of the business assets.

The auction has proven its worth in insolvency liquidation over many decades

Experience has shown that the responsible insolvency administrators achieve the highest sales proceeds with moderate effort. By commissioning experienced auction houses, the effort will be further reduced. In recent years, the online auction format has given the insolvency auction additional reach and further increased the sales potential.

As an innovative auction house, InventoryNord GmbH has been able to gain experience in more than 160 auctions in recent years, in which around 10,000 objects found new owners. The Hamburg-based company focuses on the continuous improvement and expansion of its range of services and thus already offers a broad spectrum of services from the appraisal and valuation of assets, inventory, securing and storage to the actual marketing. At the heart of this is the online platform through which all current auctions are handled.

"In our experience, the success of an auction does not depend exclusively on the attractiveness of the items offered," knows Agathe Motala, Managing Director of InventoryNord GmbH. "First and foremost, it is important to guarantee interested parties convenient access and an all-around satisfying auction experience. With our current website relaunch, we have therefore once again significantly improved the user-friendliness of our online offering."

Above all, the relaunch has optimized the presentation of page content for visitors with mobile devices. In this way, InventoryNord takes into account the desire of many customers to be able to maintain an overview of current auctions while on the move. In addition to this usability aspect, the renewed dashboard is designed to provide logged-in customers with easy and convenient access to important documents. Invoices, credit bills and collection slips, for example, can now be found under "My Account". In line with the optimization for smaller mobile displays, the new platform also concentrates information on running auctions visually. In the detailed views, site visitors can find all the information relevant to them at a glance, including three informative photos of the auction item. Bidding is further simplified by the use of a new input mask. An overview of current and upcoming auctions and deadlines is already provided in the Improved View on the start page, which also uses an auction timer to announce the end of the next auction. The graphical visualization of the remaining time of an auction deserves special attention. With this innovation, InventoryNord clearly stands out from auction platforms also based on the Bidpath system and offers a new way to increase or decrease bid increments.

"Behind the important changes that are visible to our customers is a far-reaching optimization of many background processes," Motala explains. "In addition, we have completely switched to more powerful systems in individual areas and have thus once again been able to significantly improve the performance of the system."

The new weblog is also intended to provide tangible added value for visitors to the InventoryNord website

In the future, interested parties will find useful information on the topics of auctions, insolvency and restructuring in practice-oriented articles.
